Is the use of technology an integral part of our evolutionary development?
I'm about to take part in a MOOC or Massive Open Online Course focused on E-Learning and Digital Cultures via Coursera
The course leaders are encouraging students to blog about their ideas, so I look forward to exploring the intersection of digital cultures online, focusing particularly on digital technology in education. #edcmooc

UWS Shack is OPEN for business!!
The Upper West Side Shake Shack is open for business T-1 day from their "official" opening. The line went pretty quickly and the food came up shortly after I checked the seating downstairs (it would be good for a small party, and has a flat screen TV) and of course plumbing (fancy dyson hand dryers). I enjoyed a shack burger; fries; arnold palmer--all across the street at the park adjacent to the museum. Everything was the cooked to the right temperature, crispy fries and cold drink! Yummmmm.

'Iolani Palace
Nuuanu Park (Pali Highway Lookout)
No day is complete without a few dozen times in and out of Mustang Sally, through a tunnel in a mountain with the top down. Here are the views from Nuuanu Park off of the Pali Highway. Mark Twain once called this view the most beautiful in the world. Two million years ago, a catastrophic landslide caused half of the Ko'olau volcano to slide into the sea. These photos were taken from the edge of what remains--the Ko'olau Range, with miles of 2,000-foot high pali (cliffs).
Worth the drive--Kailua Beach
From the East Coast of Oahu, Kailua Beach, our #1 pick for best sand, water, and peace and quiet. Best when enjoyed with my #1 soda choice of the island, Waialua Soda Works in Mango. And while listening to this, the #1 song according to AT top 40 and the Backseat Betty's.
